Leptopentacta elongata
Leptopentacta elongata is a burrowing sea cucumber with thick, tough skin. They burrow in muddy soils in the Mediterranean and Atlantic. They reach up to 15 cm in length.
They reproduce when pheromones are present in the water by releasing their gametes. Once fertilized, the egg either sinks to the dean floor or floats to the surface.
