Cnidaria
Cnidaria are marine invertebrates that live mainly in salt water. Cnidaria typically take the form of a polyp or a medusa. Some medusas live their early lives as polyps and some Cnidaria, classified as Hydroids, alternate between polyp and medusa form throughout their lives. Cnidaria all have stinging cells called cnidocytes uses for hunting and defense.
Reproduction
Asexual and sexual reproduction are both present in Cnidaria. Asexual reproduction occurs from budding, fragmentation, and fission. In sexual reproduction, mature organisms spray gametes into the water.
